Bridal Veil View in Leura: Stunning Waterfall Views

Bridal Veil View is a quiet, somewhat isolated vantage point in Leura that offers scenic views of Bridal Veil Falls.

True to its name, this beautiful waterfall cascades down the cliff face in a way that closely resembles a bridal veil.

The lookout is reached via a combination of the Tarpeian Rock Access Walk and the Bridal Veil View Track, with the walk beginning from Cliff Drive.

Getting There

Bridal Veil View is easy to reach on foot. The quickest way to get there is via the access track that starts from Cliff Drive, near the junction with Olympian Parade in Leura. From there, it is an easy 500-metre walk to the lookout.

Parking can be limited along this section of Cliff Drive, so you may find it easier to park a little further away on Olympian Parade.

Another option is to visit the lookout via Olympian Rock from the east or Leura Cascades from the west. Both of these routes form part of the Prince Henry Cliff Walk and the Grand Cliff Top Walk.

Below is a map of the walk to the lookout from Cliff Drive. You can use the link in the table above to access this map on Google Maps.

Once you have located the start, head into the bush via a set of stone steps. About 200 metres into the walk, you will arrive at a junction with the Prince Henry Cliff Walk.

At this point, turn right to follow the path toward Bridal Veil View. The path going straight ahead leads to Tarpeian Rock, a lookout offering scenic views across the Jamison Valley. It is worth visiting both spots in the one outing since they are so close together.

Approximately 100 metres past the junction, you will see another signposted intersection where you should continue straight ahead for Bridal Veil View. From there, it is a further 200 metres to reach the lookout.

The Bridal Veil View lookout has recently been upgraded and now features a sturdy metal staircase leading down to a small, fenced platform.

The lookout offers fantastic views of Bridal Veil Falls, where Leura Falls Creek flows over a sloping cliff to create a beautiful bridal veil effect. For the best experience, visit this lookout after a bit of rainfall.

Once you have finished soaking up the views, you can retrace your steps back to Cliff Drive or continue exploring the surrounding area.
