Getting There
The easiest way to reach Elysian Rock is via the access trail next to 43 Olympian Parade. You can park on the street, and it’s only a two-minute walk to the lookout.
Another option is to park at Gordon Falls Reserve, where more paid parking is available. From there, you can follow a short section of the Prince Henry Cliff Walk to reach Elysian Rock.

About Elysian Rock
If you’re starting from Olympian Parade, look for the signposted walking trail to Elysian Rock. The start of this trail is called Elysian Place.

This access path is only about 120 metres long and leads mostly downhill via a series of steps. It’s not very steep, and the trail is well-defined and well-maintained.

Elysian Rock features two viewing platforms connected by the historic Buttenshaw Bridge. Both platforms are fenced and have comfortable seating.
From the platforms, you can enjoy impressive views over the Jamison Valley, with the Three Sisters to the right, Mount Solitary straight ahead, and Sublime Point to the left.

The Buttenshaw Bridge is an attraction in itself. Spanning a deep rock chasm on the cliff edge, it offers great views on both sides.
The original bridge was built in 1936, and in 2015 it was replaced with a modern 14-metre steel structure.

If possible, try to visit Elysian Rock at sunrise on a clear day, when the views are especially beautiful.
