Landslide Lookout is a quiet vantage point in the Katoomba area of the Blue Mountains, offering scenic views over the Jamison Valley.
A short bushwalk from Cliff Drive leads to this lookout, which was named after a series of landslides in 1931 that permanently reshaped the cliff face.

Getting There
The signposted access point to the short walking track leading to this lookout is located along Cliff Drive, between Narrow Neck Lookout and Scenic World.
There are only a few parking spaces available, but the area is usually quiet, so finding a spot isn’t normally an issue.

About Landslide Lookout
Once you’ve parked and are ready to go, head down the steps at the southern end of the small parking area.

The trail has recently been upgraded with new sandstone steps, making the initial descent to the lookout much easier.

These sandstone steps soon give way to wooden ones, leading to Landslide Lookout, a spacious, fenced viewing platform that offers scenic views over the Jamison Valley.

Interestingly, you can’t actually see the cliff face where the landslide occurred from this lookout, as it sits above that section of the escarpment.
To get a better view of the cliff itself, the best option is to walk part of the Federal Pass, an iconic track that runs through the valley between Leura and Katoomba. The cliff is also visible from the nearby Narrow Neck Lookout.

To the east, a faint path leads to a rocky platform with views from a slightly different angle. It’s worth checking out, but take care, as this spot isn’t fenced, and conditions can be windy.

When you’re ready to return, simply retrace your steps to the parking area on Cliff Drive. There are also plenty of other lookouts nearby if you’d like to continue exploring this part of the Blue Mountains.
