1. Falls Mountain Retreat Blue Mountains

Falls Mountain Retreat sits on four acres on the edge of the national park, close enough to lookouts and walking tracks that you can leave the car behind for the day.
It’s a self-contained, self-catering set-up, with studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartment suites, each with its own kitchen (full kitchens in the one- and two-bedroom suites, kitchenettes in the studios) and private courtyard or balcony. Every room comes with a two-person hydrotherapy spa bath, and there’s air conditioning, a laundry in the larger suites, and Wi-Fi throughout.
The two-bedroom suites can sleep up to six across a ground-floor bedroom and a loft-style second bedroom with its own ensuite, making it a solid option for families or small groups who still want some separation from each other.
Falls Mountain Retreat is a good pick if you want privacy and your own space rather than a standard hotel room, with the flexibility to stay a couple of nights or a couple of weeks.

2. Valley of the Waters B&B

Valley of the Waters is a small, boutique Bed and Breakfast right on the edge of the national park, built around genuinely wide cliff and valley views.
There are only two Cliff View rooms and one Loft Suite in total, so you’re not sharing the place with a crowd. Each Cliff View room has a queen bed, a spa ensuite and its own deck, while the Loft Suite takes the top floor with the best outlook and enough space (queen plus a single) for three.
It’s well placed for walking, with easy access to the Valley of the Waters track, the Grand Cliff Top Walk, and the Overcliff Undercliff Track, and it’s only a short drive into Wentworth Falls village for cafes and shops.
There’s a guest lounge with an open fire for the cooler months, breakfast is optional (and recommended), and free on-site parking. It’s a great option for a couple looking for a quieter and more personal experience.

3. Grand View Hotel

The Grand View is a classic pub-style hotel on the Great Western Highway, right in the middle of Wentworth Falls, with a bar and bistro on site and rooms upstairs.
It’s the straightforward, affordable option in this list, with rooms typically starting from under 200 dollars a night that come as either ensuite or shared-bathroom, ranging from a single up to family rooms with a queen and a single bed.
Every room gets air conditioning, a mini fridge, tea and coffee facilities, a flat-screen TV with streaming services, and an electric blanket, so it’s well covered on the basics even at the cheaper end. The bistro runs from midday to 8 pm, and the bar’s open till midnight, with trivia on Tuesday nights, so there’s food and a drink sorted without having to go anywhere.
The Grand View is a good fit for anyone after a no-frills, central base in Wentworth Falls rather than a full resort stay.

4. Whispering Pines Cottages

Whispering Pines runs four self-contained holiday cottages across the Blue Mountains: three in Wentworth Falls and a fourth, Cottage on the Mall, in Leura if that’s more your area.
Of the three in Wentworth Falls, Apple Blossom Cottage is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom weatherboard place on the south side of the village, with a private garden and verandah, BBQ facilities, and an easy stroll to the Conservation Hut and the Empress Falls Walk. Denfenella Lodge is also three bedrooms and two bathrooms (one with a spa), and has its own lawn and an eat-in kitchen. It’s built for bigger family or friend groups and sits close to the Wentworth Falls Track and the Overcliff Undercliff Track.
Cascade Cottage is the smallest and most couple-oriented of the three, sleeping up to four in a garden setting about a ten-minute walk from the train station and village shops.
All three are fully self-contained with their own kitchen and parking, so it’s a solid choice if you’d rather have your own space than a hotel room, whatever the size of your group.

5. Poet’s Cottage

Poet’s Cottage is a restored 1912 worker’s cottage that was once home to a well-known Blue Mountains poet, so there’s more history here than most places in Wentworth Falls.
It’s a self-contained, three-bedroom, two-bathroom cottage sleeping up to seven, with an open-plan lounge and dining area, a gas fireplace, and a well-equipped kitchen with a Smeg stove and dishwasher. There’s a large garden, a west-facing deck for the sunset, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and an EV charger, and it’s a short drive to both Wentworth Falls and Leura village.
Located about 800 metres north of the Conservation Hut, this property provides easy access to all popular walks and lookouts in the area. It backs directly onto Blue Mountains National Park, and walking tracks from the garden lead to the Conservation Hut, the Valley of the Waters, and on to the Overcliff Undercliff Track and Wentworth Falls itself.
Poet’s Cottage suits families or small groups looking for a private, self-contained stay with some character to it.
