Getting There
The start of the short walking trail to this lookout is located at the end of Sublime Point Road in Leura.
You’ll find a small car parking area right where the trailhead is. It usually doesn’t get very busy there, so you should be able to secure a parking spot.
Public transport is not a viable option, as there are no bus stops nearby.

Track Notes
The trail to the lookout is a short and easy walk, suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
The path is not wheel-friendly as there are stairs and a small footbridge at the end. However, the path up to the picnic area is flat.

The first section of the walking trail takes you on a quiet stroll through scenic bushland along a paved path.
Near the end of the trail, you’ll find a picnic area with a few tables and a small cabin with comfortable seating inside.

Just behind the picnic area, the track descends via a set of stairs, leading to a small footbridge where the views of the valley become clearer and better.

After crossing the bridge, the path gently guides you onto the spacious lookout platform, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
The Lookout
Positioned at the southernmost tip of the Sublime Point headland, Sublime Point Lookout is a large, rocky viewing platform with fencing.

The lookout provides stunning panoramic views of the Jamison Valley and beyond, with several iconic landmarks visible on the horizon.

If the weather is good with clear skies, you should be able to see the Three Sisters, Castle Head, Mount Solitary, and Kings Tableland.

The sandstone platform is very spacious and typically not busy at all, so you’ll have lots of room to move around and soak in those views.
Nearby Sights
One of our favourite hidden lookouts in the Blue Mountains is Gladstone Lookout, a quiet vantage point that can be reached via the Lillians Bridge Track. That short walk starts from the Fairmont Resort nearby.
Another option is to visit Golf Links Lookout, which is a bit of a hidden gem. To get there, drive to nearby Carleton Rd (see map) and look for the walking trail into the bush (part of the Grand Cliff Top Walk). From there, it’s only a 10-minute walk to Golf Links Lookout.
From that lookout, you can then continue hiking to the Pool of Siloam, a beautiful waterfall and natural waterhole.
